In order to fix a radar and communications blackout on Baobara, Iron Ridge had to come up with a way to transport a large metal disc deep into radio silence. IR's engineers attempted multiple designs, but then came to a realization. "If the EX-2 can carry a 4,000 kg submarine on its back, what's stopping it from carrying an 18 metric tonne shipping container?". The engineers fused an EX-2 onto the top of the container, moved its engines and some of the RCS onto it, and rewired its VTOL to use the shipping container's assist engines. The mission was a success, and from a contract with multiple Earth companies, Iron Ridge was able to buy the licensing to begin work on combustion propulsion spacecraft.
How to install this ship
Download the ZIP.Every download contains two files with matching names — a .bp and a .bpmeta. You need both: the .bp is the ship, the .bpmeta holds its name. A .bp on its own will not appear in the game.
Unzip into the Blueprints folder.Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\ApproximatelyGames\ApproximatelyUp\Blueprints into Explorer's address bar and drop both files there. Keep their filenames exactly as they are — the game pairs them by name.
Restart and open the blueprint menu. The game reads the folder on startup, so restart it. Open the blueprint menu, find the ship by its name and load it. Test it next to a garage before flying a mission.
